Financial institutions trust Numerated to keep their data safe and secure, and we take that responsibility — to them and their customers — very seriously. We’re looking for a Senior Information Security Engineer to join our dedicated security team. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Security Officer (CSIO), the Senior Information Security Engineer will take a leadership role in creating the future of infosec at Numerated. In addition, you will:
- Drive projects to enhance our security posture
- Build, deploy, and maintain state-of-the-art security tools and applications
- Work closely with our Operations and Engineering teams to help design, implement, and manage security components of our application and infrastructure
- Design, implement, and document security policies and procedures
- Investigate, mitigate, and document security incidents
- Respond to due-diligence inquiries from customers and partners
- Perform compliance activities including audits, vendor reviews, access reviews, cloud application inventories, and risk management
- Act as a security subject-matter expert for your colleagues across the company
Essential Responsibilities /
- Lead and contribute to projects which enhance our security
- Maintain existing security infrastructure and processes
- Perform compliance and due diligence tasks
- Act as a security subject-matter expert
- Respond to security incidents
Education Requirements /
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Security, Computer Science or a technically related field required, or equivalent certifications
Work Experience Requirements /
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in security, software engineering, or IT
- 5+ years of senior-level experience in security
- Experience working in a cloud-native startup environment
- A demonstrated ability to drive projects from conception to completion
- A demonstrated ability to effectively manage time and work independently
- A demonstrated ability to support and collaborate effectively with colleagues in varied roles throughout an organization
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience securing SaaS applications deployed on AWS
- Experience using scripting, preferably in Python, and other automation tools to solve security, IT, or operations problems
- Experience maintaining the security of third-party cloud applications
- Experience administering development pipeline tools, e.g., SCM, Jira, Jenkins
