EverQuote is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our growing team! As a senior member of the Calls engineering team, this role plays a critical function in ensuring that the applications and services we build meet the needs of the business while also being scalable, performant, easy to iterate on and easy to extend. This role is for someone who enjoys building amazing consumer experiences through technology, optimizing consumer interaction and driving consumer response. You will improve the relationship with our consumers through creativity and problem-solving using a wide range of tools. 

What you’ll do:

• Define and evolve our system design and architecture in response to business needs and scale.
• Build and maintain applications primarily written in Go.
• Help to break apart our legacy Ruby monolith into backend microservices.
• Build and maintain integrations with 3rd party communications technology (such as Twilio)

• Execute road mapping, planning and scoping to build toward the overall team strategy & vision.

About You:

• 6-8+ years of professional programming experience including experience at a software product company
• Experience with Go, Python, Java or other server side languages
• You’ve helped build large-scale applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with CI/CD development environment
• You’ve worked in a microservice based architecture and have experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Able to quickly diagnose and solve code problems, as well as help others unblock themselves
• You are passionate about partnering with product and design to build positive user experiences
• You are competent at automated testing across the technology stack
• You have an entrepreneurial mindset, want to grow a business, and love working with a team
• You are comfortable using data to support and validate your concepts
