Summary
The Core Technology Infrastructure team provides the underlying infrastructure and tools that power several core products. Azure cloud services and Kubernetes are at the heart of our technology stack, and on top we manage an always-evolving set of tools to empower product teams with automation and observability. A diligent and extensive Infrastructure-as-code approach allows us to run numerous environments across the globe with limited effort.
Thanks to our ongoing expansion, we are specifically looking for a US citizen to join our latest challenge of providing a FedRAMP High offering. Join us as we onboard to the Azure US Gov cloud and put in place the latest security and compliance best practices around toolset and processes.
NOTE: The successful candidate must either have security clearance or be able to obtain US Secret security clearance
What You Will Be Doing
In this role you will:

• Build and maintain our infrastructure as code on large scale multi-site deployments, deeply leveraging Azure and Kubernetes
• Come up with new ways to scale our platform further
• Automate workflows to help pushing the limit of the infrastructure
• Help troubleshoot issues until root causes are understood on high traffic production systems
• Participate in code review processes
• Participate in the creation of unit tests, pre-flight tests and regression tests
• Manage users expectations and enforce best practices
• Interact with users to coordinate infrastructure changes
• Help identifying bottlenecks and improving performance of our infrastructure
• Evaluate, implement and manage solutions to build and support a robust infrastructure (Monitoring, Deployment, self-healing)
• Continuously improve the security posture of the infrastructure, tools, and processes
• Work with other US employees to own and support our US Gov environment in a 24/7 fashion

NOTE: This role requires participating in on-call duty.
What You Bring Along
You don't need to have all of these items, but these are the skills that will make you successful in the team:

• New languages and unknown code base doesn't scare you
• Open-Source enthusiasm: you're familiar with some CNCF Projects (Kubernetes, Prometheus, Thanos, Jaeger, etc.)
• Strong communications skills
• Experience with version control systems such as Git
• Solid experience with Kubernetes cluster administration (AKS preferred)
• Containers: Docker, containerD, Helm
• Proficiency with Terraform
• Experience with Public Clouds (Azure preferred)
• 6+ years of experience in a mix of the following areas:
• High level programming and scripting (Bash/Python/GoLang)
• Linux System administration
• Software Development Life Cycle, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

Bonus Points
You have worked in the following areas or with the following tools before:

• Networking: DNS, TLS, Certificate Management, Proxies and API Gateways (Envoy, Ambassador)
• Security: Falco, Azure Sentinel, Azure Policies
• Versioning and Deployment: GitLab, GitLab-CI, Github, Github Action, Azure DevOps
• Monitoring: Grafana, FluentD, Elastic, Prometheus, Thanos, Kusto
• Tracing: OpenTracing, Jaeger
• Incident Management: PagerDuty, AlertManage
