As a Senior Developer for Apparel at WHOOP you will help create the future of wearable technology. You are a passionate, talented, and consumer-centric apparel developer who will help create and evolve our Apparel product range that supports WHOOP’s membership efforts through innovation and functionality.

This role reports to the Vice President, Apparel and Accessories.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Ensure achievement of goals and objectives set by the business unit through partnership with Marketing and Design
• Proactively communicate on an on-going basis with team, supervisors and cross functional teams to ensure a smooth product development process
• Research new technologies and materials and communicate to Design and Marketing on new potential development options
• Source and develop new suppliers and Tier 1 sources for our Apparel and Accessories
• Supervise the costing process to achieve the best possible cost throughout the creation process
• Be responsible for production-ready performance through strong collaboration with Testing, Marketing, and Supply Chain.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 10+ years experience in Apparel product development within Sporting Goods or fashion industry.
• Strong knowledge of fabric, trims, and constructions. Knowledge of Packaging a plus
• Collaborative by nature, able to elevate the work of their peers and allow their own work to be elevated by others
• Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills
• Ability to manage through change, make decisions and act comfortably with risk and uncertainty
• Good understanding of sourcing allocation impact on product from a quality and cost perspective
• Travel, domestic and international as required by business needs

This role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. The successful candidate must be prepared to relocate if necessary to work out of the Boston, MA office.
