The addition of Something Digital’s deep commerce expertise to Rightpoint’s customer experience leadership, will further enable the company’s ability to drive experience-led transformation at scale for clients across industries. 

Something Digital is an interactive agency with offices around the US. We have spent close to 20 years developing customer software, eCommerce sites, intranets, and websites for diverse clients ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies.

 

Intro

The “SEG” Magento Lead Developer plays a key role in the day-to-day management and delivery of front-end deliverables. SEG stands for “Strategic Engagement Group”. We provide ongoing tactical support and enhancements to our client’s websites and are also the team that’s responsible for maintenance and site uptime. SEG is primarily engaged in backend development, both bug fixes and strategic enhancements to drive ecommerce KPIs, however occasionally (but not at the same time) they need to put on their SRE or frontend developer hats.

 

What You’ll Do & The Impact You’ll Make

  • Provide guidance on and oversee the output of a team of developers
  • Handle escalations of challenging bug
  • Interface directly with clients to identify solutions or provide technical assessments / explanations
  • Perform root cause analysis and outline plans to resolve production issues and improve stability of production environments
  • Mentor your team through their careers, helping them grow into positions of leadership themselves
  • Review developer code to maintain and improve code quality control and adherence to standards
  • Contribute to and review back-end developer training plans and content
  • Drive continuous improvement of development process by collaborating with business analysts, project managers, designers, quality testers, and other team members
  • Participate in recruiting activities and events to help bring in more talented people
  • Provide regular and annual developer feedback

What We’d Love to See

  • 5+ year’s experience with Adobe Commerce (Magento)
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Experience optimizing, profiling, debugging, and refactoring application code
  • Built secure, standards compliant solutions following OWASP and PCI practices
  • Optimized web server configurations and have experience scaling web applications
  • Strong SQL knowledge, including query optimization and MySQL configuration

It’d be great if you had

  • Experience leading teams, ideally on Adobe Commerce (Magento) projects
  • Worked with Adobe Experience Manager or other headless Adobe Commerce solutions
  • Adobe Commerce Expert or higher certifications
  • Experience working with remote and geographically diverse engineering teams
