POSITION SUMMARY:

This position will provide hands-on technical security guidance of the growing cloud environments including Azure. The role will work closely with IT as well as development teams to help build secure and robust cloud environments supporting the SharkNinja production environments.

The Cloud Security Engineer will provide security expertise in the evaluation, assessment and development of cloud solutions. Additionally, the Cloud Security Engineer will assist in the development of cyber security requirements, conduct security assessments, evaluate security services and technologies, and review and document information security procedures.

GENERAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) on Cloud Security

· Evaluate new technologies against established requirements and validate the security of the technology

· Translate security and technical requirements into business requirements, and communicate security risks

· Propose and/or design technical security solutions

· Work closely with developers to deliver creative security solutions

· Provide cloud security architecture and consulting to teams

· Develops standards and procedures

· Participate in efforts to tailor security policies and standards for use in cloud environments

· Automate security controls, data and processes to provide better metrics and operational support

· Stay current on emerging security threats, vulnerabilities and controls.

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

 · Bachelor’s degree in related technical areas, or an equivalency of education and work experience.

· Minimum of 5-7 years of security engineering experience with a focus on cloud security and technologies

· Expert knowledge of Cloud infrastructure, security architectures, and standards

· Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Azure

· Able to demonstrate clear understanding of current threats to Cloud infrastructure

· Able to automate/script tasks through Python, Bash or equivalent[A1] 

· Experience in designing and implementing standards, specifications and procedures[A2] .

· Demonstrated ability to take initiative and accountability for achieving results.

· Very detailed knowledge of system security vulnerabilities and remediation techniques

· Security certification desired (e.g., CCSP, CISSP, etc)[A3] 

· Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
