As Security Administrator, you will join our Technology Operations team to secure Markforged networks and compute environments. The goal of the Technology Operations team is to provide effective technologies and quality services that seamlessly integrate into the daily workflows of Markforged employees to enhance productivity, safeguard information, and scale in a cost-effective manner. To succeed here, you need to be a quick learner and have a passion for the latest security technologies. You will be a strong and independent team member that is passionate about solving big problems with simple solutions, driving excellence, and building a great company. You will analyze and establish security requirements, train employees in security awareness, and defend systems against unauthorized access, modification, or destruction. You are comfortable implementing and managing security and IT tools such as authentication providers, networking equipment, and physical security systems. You will report to the Director of IT assisting in both IT and security projects.

What You Will Work On

  • Implement access controls (SSO, MFA, etc...), corporate data safeguards, physical security measures, and other security-centric technical controls
  • Coordinate the protection and security of company assets, employees, visitors, and others
  • Create security policies such as compute environment and acceptable use
  • Triage and respond to security requests and incidents
  • Develop and maintain incident response and disaster recovery procedures
  • Train fellow employees in security awareness and proceduresConduct periodic security and systems audits
  • Monitor the computing environment for unusual activity
  • Organize risk assessments, phishing campaigns, and penetration testing

What We Look For

  • 3+ years of experience in securing and supporting macOS, Windows, iOS, Android
  • Experience securing and managing enterprise software
  • Experience working with endpoint management tools
  • Experience with network security, vulnerability scanning, monitoring, and alerting
  • Ability to provide concise documentation within a ticketing system or knowledge base
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical employees
  • Ability and strong desire to work with minimal supervision in an environment with changing priorities and multiple projects
  • Highly organized, precise with great attention to detail
  • Ability to work weekend and off-hours on occasion

Bonus

  • Work experience in a startup environment
  • Experience maintaining an asset and data inventory
  • Ability to work cross-functionally on IT projects including support requests, on-boarding, and troubleshooting macOS, Windows, mobile devices, office printers, A/V and video conferencing systems
  • Networking experience
  • Scripting experience (HTML, PHP, Shell, Bash, Python, etc.)
