As our Scale-Up Technician, you will primarily be responsible for the scaling-up and optimization of filament lines to be production team ready. In this role, you will take materials from the developmental phase to real-world, high-scale production. You have a keen eye for problem-solving and are able to formulate potential paths to resolution in the process. As you grow and want to learn new areas of production, you will have the opportunity to take on tasks in other areas such as printing of new materials, material characterization and analysis.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain downstream equipment from extrusion lines, including take up systems and winders
  • Develop control systems and feedback loops, and automate tasks for high quality control
  • Assemble, test, and maintain electrical & electronic systems
  • Build, calibrate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair instruments and equipment
  • Run developmental extrusion lines
  • Define, write, and execute standard operating procedures
  • Maintain high-level of communications with cross-functional teams and partners

Qualifications:

  • Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Degree, or 5+ years experience creating jigs and fixtures
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, engineering, or laboratory research
  • Problem-solving attitude and aptitude
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
