PrismHR is looking for a Release Engineer to contribute to the successful build and deployment of multiple products for our SaaS based product offerings. This role will function within an Agile based engineering environment and will interface with several teams including Development, QA, Operations and Product Management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Create, execute and maintain build and deployment tools and scripts for multiple projects using various technologies
Collaborate with Development, QA, Operations, Product Management and other teams to ensure a smooth transition of deliverables through proper release channels
Create and monitor branches for multiple projects
Perform software builds (automated and on demand)
Artifact generation and maintenance
Deploy artifacts to multiple environments including DEV, QA, Staging and Production
Contribute to an atmosphere of cross-functional teamwork
Debug-troubleshoot environment related build and deployment issues
SKILLS and EXPERIENCE:
3-5 + years of Release Engineering/DevOps experience
Build script knowledge (Ant, Gradle, PowerShell etc.)
Remote script execution knowledge via SSH, WinRM
Expertise with CI/CD tools such as Artifactory, TeamCity, Jenkins, Bamboo
Strong knowledge of Unix, Windows
3-5 + years’ experience deploying web-based applications to cloud environments: Java, Tomcat, IIS etc.
Configuration Management toolset experience such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible
Familiar with database technologies (Relational, MultiValue, etc.)
3-5 + years’ experience working in cloud-based web applications
Strong scripting capabilities such as PowerShell, Bash etc.
Experience in managing source control systems (Git and Github preferred)
Excellent communication, documentation and interpersonal skills
Familiar with and advocate of DevOps best practices
Experience with container technologies (Docker)
Solid SDLC management skills (Change Management, release cadence, hotfix delivery)
Ability to learn and adapt to multiple technologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Dedication and willingness to work some alternative schedules as necessary
Project management experience in a hands-on role
