Smartsheet is looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to grow our quality assurance team and ensure our applications meet the highest standards. We are seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented leader who will thrive in a fast-paced agile environment. The QA Manager will work with the development, product management, operations, and support teams to ensure our test strategy allows us to deliver high quality releases in a timely fashion.
This position will report to the Sr. Director of Development and is based out of Boston, MA.
Job Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end quality of various customer facing Smartsheet features
• Manage a small but growing team of testers
• Work effectively with Development, Product Management, and Infrastructure Engineering
• Identify and implement new testing tools, methodologies, and procedures to improve test coverage
• Hire, train, and mentor quality assurance engineers of varying experience levels
• Research, design and implement test automation techniques and tools
• Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases
• Design and implement various tools for efficient testing
• Perform debugging and root cause analysis for customer reported issues
• Adopt and establish best engineering practices for the team

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, including 2+ years in a lead or management role
• Exceptional leadership and management skills
• Demonstrated understanding of quality assurance best practices and methodologies, including testing for performance, security, scalability, and reliability
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Experience testing web and mobile applications
• Knowledge of automated testing practices and tools
• An eye for what makes a good (or poor) user experience
• Analytical problem solving with an attention to detail and thoroughness
• Working knowledge of the SaaS model, web technologies
• BS or MS in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent industry experience
• Legally eligible to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis
