Principal Software Engineer

What You Will Do:
- Conceptualize, design, build, and maintain services and experiences that support VCS.
- Define opportunities where VCS Tech can leverage and contribute to the new Vistaprint platform to help shape and influence its direction.
- Communicate cross-functionally with other team leads, business partners, and senior executives.
- Be an integral part of an engineering team that is releasing features to customers daily.
- Help other specialists grow through effective feedback, and mentoring.
- Share code ownership and operational responsibilities with your team, including on-call responsibilities (via a rotation).
Your Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience working as a software developer in a fast-paced, technical, problem-solving environment (e-commerce industry preferred)
- 2+ years with full-stack software development including front-end frameworks using JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX and some MV* frameworks like React / Vue / Angular / Backbone
- Mastery of at least one object-oriented programming language (Java, C#, etc.)
- Cloud experience (GCP or AWS a plus!)
Nice to Have:
- Strong ability to communicate with diverse audiences (including technical, non-technical and senior management)
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent collaboration and the desire to work with a cross-cultural team
- Experience with Agile development using Scrum or Kanban
