As a Principal Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at CA Veracode, you will work closely with software developers and other Quality Engineers in small scrum teams to deliver the highest quality SaaS-based products in a timely and cost-effective manner.  Specific duties and responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases, estimating test efforts, analyzing and communicating test results, defect tracking, automating testing and participating in day-to-day QA activities for our Dynamic Scan product platform.

Responsibilities include:

• Work with a team of developers and testers in a highly agile environment to produce quality software for our customers
• Apply development and technical skills to all aspects of QA, including automated functional and integration tests and the setup of production like environments
• Lead efforts to build and maintain functional regression testing suite
• Ability to formulate story acceptance criteria by independently gathering information and utilizing available resources to develop automated tests
• Gain deep knowledge of product functionality
• Be a creative thinker and problem solver and collaborate and communicate with team members and community
• Manually develop test plans and test cases & automate as much of those test plans as possible
• Prepare estimates for assigned tasks and complete all work according to schedule and quality requirements
• Provide ongoing feedback on deliverables
• Acquire knowledge necessary to perform job assignments (technology, product and process)
• Work closely with development team on maintaining operational health and performance of core application functions

Required Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other relevant field
• 10+ years’ experience in quality assurance/software testing and programming. 
• Experience leading/mentoring a team regarding testing tools, strategies and best practices
• Java and/or Python skills for automating tests and creating feature test pages
• Java knowledge for troubleshooting production incidents
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other public Cloud platform knowledge

• Experience testing a web application stack; knowledge of web servers, application servers, and databases
• Must possess excellent overall attention to detail, quality and customer satisfaction
• Self-motivated, results driven, and able to work effectively in a fast paced, dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multitask
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Document and share technical information and processes

Desired Experience/Skills:

• Strongly desire experience working with SaaS-based software solutions.
• Create Amazon AMIs and controls starting and stopping EC2 instances.  Familiarity with AWS CLI.
• Experience with REST Assured
• Experience working with asynchronous messaging
• Experience working with security solutions.  Application Security is ideal
