Mission

Within the component engineering organization you will be at the forefront of developing key sensors for our autonomous vehicle stack. The camera activities are critical for the success of the company and in this role you will have the ownership and exposure to deliver this critical product along with the image signal processing pipeline.

The team lead will manage a team of 7-10 engineers, all working in unison to execute with our suppliers and partners  this exciting technology.

What you'll be doing:

  • Lead the technical team and development of camera and ISP products for our current and next generation systems
  • Interface closely with other competencies to ensure requirements are properly provided and that the vehicle level requirements developed are properly implemented
  • Oversee the development/maintenance and adherence of project family common architectures
  • Ensure team and suppliers comply with the Automotive SPICE development requirements leveraging internal development processes
  • Plan development activities and resources assignments utilizing a global team
  • Coordinate with others to ensure all deliverables are completed on time per project schedules, have proper content and meet both internal and customer quality standards
  • Identify opportunities for quality and productivity improvement and implement appropriate initiatives
  • Maintain a documented resource management plan and keep it up to date based on existing and pending projects
  • Escalate execution issues, as needed
  • Ensure that staff members are properly trained and mentored
  • Provide reward and recognition for team
  • Support component sourcing activities

What we're looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physics, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study
  • 10+ years of experience in product or vehicle development
  • 3+ years of automotive experience
  • 3+ years of systems leadership experience 
  • 7+ years with direct experience developing Camera and ISP systems 
  • 3+ years of experience leading engineering/technical teams
  • 5+ years of experience in electro-optics or opto-mechanical systems, specifically building cameras in the automotive, aerospace or defense industries

BONUS POINTS:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field of study preferred
  • Experience in general embedded systems
  • Experience in Automotive SPICE
  • Experience with Functional Safety ISO26262
  • Familiar with serial communication protocols: SPI, CAN, Flexray, Ethernet
