Job Description

We are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our DevOps team as we continue to build out and evolve the Tamr platform. With our growing customer base and increasing demand for additional services, we are growing our cloud footprint and our devops team to maintain our deployments and services.

Responsibilities:

• Bootstrap new architecture
• Participate in troubleshooting, architecting, capacity planning, performance analysis activities
• Participate in on-call rotation

This might be a good fit if you have:

• 5+ years of experience with cloud-based provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting (preferably Google Cloud)
• 2+ years of docker experience
• 1+ year(s) of k8s experience
• 5+ years of experience with Linux/Unix systems administration
• Hands on experience with monitoring and logging infrastructure
• Experience with configuration management tools (we use ansible + puppet)
• Experience with infrastructure automation tools like CloudFormation or Terraform
• Experience being part of an on-call rotation
• A good understanding of operations of production *aaS systems
• Experience with one or more programming languages such as Ruby, Python, Perl, Node.js, Java, Golang, and C/C++
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment where DevOps solutions are critical to business success
• Minimum Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience

Pluses Include:

• 5+ years of direct experience in various DevOps department functions
• Experience managing Hadoop infrastructure is a big plus
• Experience with continuous integration and testing via tools such as Jenkins or Travis/CircleCI, bonus points for TeamCity
• Development experience in Java
• Experience with service-oriented architecture and web services
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP stack
• Good understanding of Unix/Linux system internals
• GKE experience
