The opportunity
Immersive Labs has grown quickly fueled by demand for our cybersecurity training platform, we are now looking for a Principal Security Engineer to join the content team in Boston. This is a new role which will help research and develop vendor specific labs and will be our first content role in Boston.
As a Principal Cyber Security Engineer, you will identify and research tools in order to develop and improve labs and challenges on the Immersive Labs platform in order to train cybersecurity professionals across the world.
Your main responsibilities:
- To plan, write and improve cybersecurity vendor labs and challenges on the Immersive Labs platform
- Support various events such as Capture the Flag and Hackathons
- Produce multi-format content utilising various teaching methods including; written, exercises, questions, games, and practical labs
- Test cybersecurity labs to ensure they function as expected
- Compile technical research into understandable concise content for both technical and non-technical audiences
To be successful:
- Principal level experience in either red team pen testing or blue team
- Understanding of Cloud technology (particularly AWS and Docker)
- Strong knowledge of the most well known tools in cyber, both vendor and open source tools
- Demonstrate understanding operating systems (particularly Windows and Linux)
- Understanding of containerisation concepts
