About the TEAM:

The Intralinks Infrastructure Engineering and Support team is responsible for the underlying infrastructure of the customer facing SaaS production platform and supporting environments (Development, QC, Staging, etc.) across multiple datacenters. The team consists of System, Storage and Virtualization administrators, engineers and architects.  A core focus of this team is in the availability (uptime), sustainability and auditability of these various environments supporting the Intralinks SaaS offerings.

Overview:

As the Principal Cloud Architect, you are a member of the team that oversees and participates in the architecture, design, planning and rollout of Intralinks Platform Solutions. Your main responsibilities are to design and implement complex computer systems (on premise and in the public cloud), to ensure that all parts of the technical design are correctly incorporated, strategically aligned and risk appropriate.

Day to day:

  • Collaborate with Product Architecture, Product Management and PMO teams to establish practices to build solutions by design with requisite architectural qualities for service reliability, availability, scalability, security, and supportability
  • Plan, deploy and optimize cost-effective, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure for production ready applications with 99.999% uptime SLA’s
  • Establish architectural standards that enable DevOps practices such as infrastructure as code, and automated continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD)
  • Create detailed plans for the integration of new systems architecture into existing infrastructure
  • Perform implementation, maintenance, remediation, and troubleshooting services for server and storage platforms to ensure successful operations and management applications within the cloud
  • Develop and manage a budget to ensure an efficient and effective use of capital
  • Participate in the modernization of the Intralinks offerings – Modern Disaster Recovery, Active-Active configuration, hybrid cloud and more

Minimum experience:

  • 10+ years of experience architecting and implementing diverse private or public cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) hosted systems in globally redundant environments
  • Expert level experience or Certifications in two or more of the following solutions is required: Red Hat Linux, CentOS Linux, AWS, Apache/Tomcat, Kubernetes, VMWare, MySQL, and ITIL3
  • Current experience supporting SaaS Infrastructure systems engineering in mission-critical production datacenter environments globally
  • Expert working knowledge with enterprise (VMWare) virtualization technologies
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux operating systems and experience with current releases of RHEL/CentOS
  • Experienced working with Kubernetes and Docker
  • Strong domain knowledge with web and database application performance engineering and capacity planning activities
  • Solid working knowledge of Internet protocols (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, SMTP, etc.)
  • Understanding of Routing and Switching, Software defined networking, VXLAN technology, UDP Encapsulation
  • Bachelor’s degree in CS/Engineering/Networking
  • Relevant OEM/Vendor specific training or certifications (VMWare VCP, AWS CSA)

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience with ElasticSearch
  • Strong working knowledge with at least one of the following scripting languages: Bash, Perl, Python
  • Working knowledge with at least one of the following configuration management tools: Ansible, Chef, etc.
  • Excellent understanding of backup and replication technologies for geo-diverse service deployments with disaster recovery capabilities
  • Working knowledge of monitoring and log management (LogicMonitor, Dynatrace, Splunk, Zabbix, etc.)
