About the Team:

  • The Performance and Capacity Engineering team is chartered with supporting mission critical products in R&D organization for our cloud offering using cutting edge technologies.
  • Our SaaS platform helps Enterprises across the world to securely collaborate and exchange mission-critical business content.

Overview:

  • We are looking for an experienced leader in a Performance Engineering space to join our Shared Engineering team.
  • You will be managing a global team of highly skilled performance engineers.
  • You will lead by example and manage the career paths of the global team.
  • You will be involved in diagnosing performance bottlenecks and implementing optimizations hands on and set the strategic goals to evolve performance automation performance tools and recommend optimal settings.

Day to Day:

  • Manages the activities of on and offshore teams who are responsible for conducting standard tests of the performance and capacity of products in development, which involves reviewing and analyzing system requirements; creating a test plan based on an assessment of performance and capacity objectives; researching and identifying test cases; creating test scripts; running the tests and preparing a final report.
  • Develops and recommends improvements to existing operational reports, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with all operational policies and procedures.
  • Supervises testing of performance and capacity of complex products in development.
  • Partners with SRE and R&D teams to discuss and resolve all performance failures or performance issues.
  • Provides technical guidance and instruction to other staff members on issues related to project planning, the creation of test plans, and the interpretation of test data.

Minimum Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 5+ years of experience in performance testing and 1+ years of management experience.
  • Expert hands on experience with Load Testing tools such as SOASTA or Jmeter
  • Expert knowledge with Profiling tools like Dynatrace or AppDynamics
  • Advanced knowledge of Linux systems including networking, security, and file systems
  • Ability to write code using different scripting languages, such as Shell and Python
  • Experience with configuration management using automated frameworks, such as Chef, Puppet, Ansible, or SaltStack
  • Strong networking background including network interface configuration, protocols
  • Expertise in Docker containers for building and deployment of applications
