THE ROLE
Reporting to the head of data science, we are seeking a creative and motivated MLOps Data Engineer to build the machine learning platform required to deploy models as part of our digital security product. They will work across the stack to develop, test, deploy, and manage ML based software solutions, and will work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to deploy and monitor models. Below are specific responsibilities:
Responsibilities

  • Establish scalable, efficient, and automated processes for ML real-time and batch deployments
  • Develop processes and tools to help monitor ML models in production, detecting performance, model drift, and decay
  • Develop CI/CD pipeline to deploy commercially viable models
  • Ensure ML data infrastructure can support commercial applications
  • Work closely with data scientists, data engineers, and software engineers to develop processes, identify pain points, and create effective solutions
  • Champion open source and third-party solutions, driving their adoption across teams and integrating into existing infrastructure
  • Promote industry best practices and strengthen the technical expertise of the team with your unique skill set


Qualifications

  • Degree in a quantitative field such as mathematics, computer science, physics, economics, engineering, statistics, operations research, quantitative social science, etc.).
  • 2+ years working in an environment where ML models are deployed at commercial scale
  • Familiarity with programming for data analysis; ideally Python & SQL
  • Familiarity with workflow orchestration tools such as Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect is desired
  • Familiarity developing and implementing a CI/CD pipeline
  • Basic knowledge on software development principles and architecture.
  • Ability to break down and understand complex business problems, define a solution and implement it using advanced quantitative methods.
  • Solid oral and written communication skills, especially around analytical concepts and methods.
  • Flexibility to stretch into data science and data engineers projects as needed
