Mendix Developer

Position Overview

Seeking a talented developer with a keen eye for details, great problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently, or with a team. The position entails designing, building, and maintaining internal Mendix applications that solve the ongoing problems of a high-growth consumer goods business.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work with project management, and business teams to assess and refine requirements with the goal of designing and developing Mendix based solutions to meet specific business needs.

Design and develop user interfaces for complex applications with clear sense of purpose and usability

Follow, enhance, and contribute to group coding standards and best practices around documentation, code-formatting, source-control

Perform application optimization and tuning

Must be a self-starter, detailed oriented and organized

Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

Ability to adjust personal style to different user groups

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact well with all employee levels.

Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication

Strong business analysis skills: requirements gathering, documentation

Strong willingness and ability to quickly learn new skill sets.

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience

2 to 4 years of experience developing with Mendix

Experience with Java, Python, HTML/CSS, SQL and JavaScript

Experience with developer tools such as Eclipse, Brackets, Koala, Docker, Kubernetes, Postman or JMeter is a plus

Knowledge of consumer goods or manufacturing industry is a plus
