What we seek
Evolv is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to help us introduce new products into manufacturing from engineering. As the interface between the two teams, the manufacturing engineer will play a critical role by devising new solutions to existing manufacturing problems, and by applying working knowledge of product design and assembly to Evolv’s manufacturing processes. The work involves developing assembly work instructions for newly released products, managing customer shipment schedules, and evaluating existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction. Evolv’s manufacturing engineer will solve procurement problems arising from suppliers and will use hands on capability to help prototype solutions to manufacturing problems.
What you bring
You have an engineering degree and at least five years of experience in manufacturing electromechanical devices. You have worked for and/or managed a contract manufacturer. You excel at multi-tasking and you have a high attention to detail. You are very organized, with strong analytical and communication skills. Previous experience working in a fast-paced start-up environment is a strong plus. A history of progressive responsibility is also a plus. In addition, you can demonstrate the following:
- Previous work experience using MRP systems
- Proficiency with Windows operating system and Microsoft Office programs
- Experience with CAD programming is a plus
