Manager/Senior Manager, Web Engineering (Remote)

We are looking for someone to lead our Web Engineering team and technical direction of web engineering at ASICS Digital.

In this role you’ll lead a team that is building engaging customer experiences across a variety of platforms and technologies. You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and global business stakeholders to shape the way that ASICS interacts with our customers. You will own the technical direction of frontend engineering and the frameworks, patterns, and platforms to deliver engaging customer experiences. 

You’ll build high trust relationships with your team as you support their career development and the technical vision and execution of the team. We expect you to have a strong technical foundation and to have worked on a variety of platforms, technologies and frameworks.

ASICS Digital is a division of ASICS based in Boston, Massachusetts. Our goal is to build digital technologies to better connect the ASICS brand to its consumers. We are responsible for the continued development of mobile-fitness solutions such as ASICS Runkeeper and ASICS Studio, global eCommerce platforms, and supporting digital services that encourage people to move, get fit and stay balanced.


 



Responsibilities

  • Drive the team to deliver and execute the technical and product roadmap for web engineering across a variety of technologies and feature teams.
  • Own the technical roadmap and evolution of web engineering in coordination with engineering teams, product, and business stakeholders.
  • Develop the careers and technical capabilities of a team of local and remote engineers across multiple technical areas and platforms.
  • Understand and deliver highly integrated platforms for CMS, eCommerce, progressive web apps, and other experiences.
  • ·Grow the team’s capabilities to deliver on the changing needs of the global ASICS business.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in engineering practices and software delivery.
  • ·Contribute to the technical leadership team and our shared values of creating a diverse, equitable and inclusive work community.
  • Build and maintain high trust relationships with global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with regional eCommerce leadership, local project management, product management and vendors.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of engineering experience with the last 1+ years in a people management role.
  • · 1+ years of eCommerce experience in a global setting (SalesForce CommerceCloud is a huge plus).
  • · 1+ years of CMS/WCM experience
  • · Demonstrated experience growing the careers and practices of a software development team.
  • · Demonstrated experience leading projects on a global scale
  • · Strong communication skills
