Background
 
In this role, you will be providing technical leadership to a set of QA engineers. You will define the automation framework, help the teams follow industry best practices, and provide guidance on product acceptance criteria.
 
Arxan has 6-8 scrum teams located in several different locations within the US and Europe, each responsible for delivering a high quality product. Our products use innovative techniques to protect user applications running on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, MAC, iOS, Android, web browsers).
 
Responsibilities 

  • Work closely with distributed engineering teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to write test plans and implement test cases
  • Identify and prioritize initiatives to improve teams’ velocity by introducing improved, reusable automation frameworks
  • Drive the selection and implementation of other tools to support product quality such as test coverage measurement, test case tracking, etc.
  • Advocate for product quality in project teams’ release readiness assessments
  • Represent QA in the writing of ISO-compliant work instructions and in ISO compliance audits 

Required Qualifications 

  • BS degree or equivalent in CS or similar major
  • 5+ years experience in enterprise software engineering, including 3+ in QA, using Agile development methodology
  • Working knowledge of at least two of these programming languages: C++, Java, Python, Pytest
  • Experience in product development on at least two of these environments: Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS
  • Hands-on experience developing or deploying complex automation frameworks 

Desirable / Preferred 

  • Experience in QA function at one or more enterprise security vendors, preferably with both on-premise and cloud-based products
  • Experience in QA leadership role on a multi-site team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work productively with distributed remote teams across multiple time zones
  • Familiarity with ISO-13485 or similar standards
  • Experience working with debuggers and reverse engineering tools
