Engineers at EverTrue work together to develop leading mobile and web platforms that support fundraising initiatives for over 300 educational institutions. We integrate with APIs including Facebook, LinkedIn, and Zillow as well as process millions of institutional records. What you’ll do

• Collaborate with the team to build high-quality, scalable Java APIs that follow best practices
• Work with our microservices infrastructure, which is made up of many small services that connect with each other
• Help build large projects and work with lead engineers and product managers to help plan, prioritize and develop work
• Promote quality through regular code reviews and by writing tests to validate work and prevent regression
• Help diagnose and resolve technical issues

• Java w/ Dropwizard
• Mesos & EC2, automated by Chef
• ElasticSearch, Spark, Storm, MySQL, Kafka, Memcached, Redis and Cassandra

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in software development
• Have experience with Java and MySQL
• Understand API patterns and common practices
• Some experience with modeling denormalized and normalized data
• Ideally have knowledge of a Java frameworks like Dropwizard, Spring or Spring Boot
• Have a positive and respectful attitude with the desire to work in a rapid-growth, entrepreneurial environment

Salary Range: $90k+ plus equity
