Who we are

Stavvy is transforming how business is conducted remotely by making complex legal and financial transactions easier, safer, and more accessible to all. Whether we are working to enable title companies to facilitate remote closings in a safe way, better connecting lenders with the businesses they use during the home buying process, or building the next set of tools for the platform, Stavviators (our employees) are disruptors at heart. Our team is constantly iterating, solving problems, and working together to simplify life's defining moments. If you want to help power the paperless revolution, join us at Stavvy!

Who you are

You have a proven track of success and over 4 years of experience working as an IT Engineer. You have a deep understanding of identity and access management solutions such as Okta and asset management tools such as Jamf. You are skilled in IT strategy and can clearly communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders alike. Curious and technically skilled, you’re an expert at working with cross-functional teams and can thrive in ambiguity.

We’d be super impressed if you also have a background in Corporate IT and security!

What You’ll Do

As an IT Engineer at Stavvy, you will play an integral part in helping us achieve operational excellence. Reporting to the VP of Trust and Security, you will partner in the development of and own the execution on a maturity roadmap for Corporate IT to ensure scalable solutions that empower our high growth startup. You’ll tackle complex software and hardware-related issues while maintaining responsibility for the deployment and troubleshooting of all of our IT systems. You’ll manage IT assets that enable the organization to function effectively and design scalable solutions to better manage business needs, most notably Okta and Jamf. Working alongside the People team, you’ll also assist in the onboarding and offboarding of employees. As part of the Trust & Security team here at Stavvy, you’ll be responsible for helping to create and set the gold standard for IT Security and compliance across our systems and software.

In this role you will:

  • Manage Okta & Jamf and their various integrations
  • Manage Corporate IT assets that enable the organization to function effectively
  • Identify and design scalable solutions to better manage business needs
  • Onboard and off-board employees
  • Handle troubleshooting and other technical issues as they arise

Our office is also currently located in Newton, MA with an anticipated move date to Boston this coming December. We currently have limited capacity in-office due to the Covid-19 pandemic. We are currently accepting candidates who live near or are looking to move within the commutable vicinity of Boston, MA. This job will start remote but be expected to be in office when the new location opens to foster collaboration with team members and fellow Stavviators.

An Insider's view of Stavvy

What's something quirky about your company?

Since the start, there’s been a debate for our unofficial mascot: Platypus or Duck. Any mention of an old error page with an ascii duck drawing saying “Aw duck, something went wrong!” brings humorous discussion. The debate rages on, with the team sneaking duck (or platypus!) references whenever we can, especially during our bi-weekly internal demos

Zach Milrod

Software Engineer II

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

Verifying and validating the quality of finished products and features. We set the standard for quality pretty high here at Stavvy. Our day-to-day functions include evaluating new and current features throughout the Stavvy product to ensure our customers can execute their tasks with the utmost success, efficiency, and ease.

Phil Simon

Automation Engineer II

What makes someone successful on your team?

We define success slightly differently by role, but there are overarching shared qualities. In terms of functioning day-to-day, the following come to mind: the ability to communicate honestly yet with diplomacy, the ability to be vulnerable and receive feedback as well as give it, and the ability to prioritize tasks and juggle multiple projects.

Alex Zajaczkowski

Product Manager

What is your vision for the company?

To build one of the most admired and respected cultures that fosters curiosity, bravery and innovation.

Kosta Ligris

Co-Founder

How do you collaborate with other teams in the company?

I collaborate with other teams in the company on a daily basis. I personally work closely with hiring managers and provide them with market insights and strategize on how we can build a strong, unified organization. I see this sort of cross-functional collaboration constantly: people pulling in others to strategically solve problems.
