The Head of SRE?will lead a team of dynamic and talented engineers focused on building out and maintaining scalable and high performing compute, storage, and reliability monitoring infrastructure in the cloud. This role is responsible for driving the ongoing vision for the team and continuing to hire and lead top-talent senior engineers. Specifically, you will

  • Lead and grow the team of top-talent senior engineers

  • Enhance & drive adoption of foundational capabilities - CI/CD, Telemetry, Security, Performance/DR, Cost optimization & capacity planning

  • Own & deliver the key outcomes? (of Cloud transformation program) through key projects - Application migration, Environment/Account standardization?

  • Drive operational best practice adoption across critical services, continually looking to lower operational barriers to achieving improved reliability

  • Lead by example, care for your team, and establish credibility with the quality of you and your team's technical execution

  • Thoughtfully balance the needs of the organization that exists today, against our future trajectory

?

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages highly-skilled engineers and operational teams through strong people management, mentoring and coaching?

  • Demonstrates a broad understanding of technical acumen through experience and past success

  • Influence new designs, architectures, standards and methods

  • Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis as well as system tuning

  • Demonstrates a wide ranging knowledge of the businesses across the enterprise and industry expertise

  • Participation in the research and proposed solutions driving the stability and reliability of our products improving overall company quality and customer satisfaction

  • Establish and maintain relationships with peers and leaders, act as an internal resource for teams and business units

  • Participates in researching industry trends and how they will impact the company

  • Provides thought leadership in issue resolution regarding internal and external technology matters

  • Helps advance the maturity and integration of DevOps tools and automation

  • Leverage business planning and production performance to influence the creation of stable solutions

  • Partner with business, data, and technology stakeholders throughout the enterprise

  • Measure application and environment performance, document issues and work with the development and implementation engineers to identify solutions?

 

Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in technology (preferably in infrastructure or DevOps or automation space)

  • Understanding of key SRE capabilities - CI/CD, Telemetry, Security, Performance/DR, Cost optimization & capacity planning

  • Strong communication skills (Written and Oral) tailored for diverse audiences -?senior leadership, program office, and architecture/technical teams

  • Experience recruiting, leading, motivating, and mentoring fast moving, highly-skilled engineers; adept at navigating and improving both social and technical systems

  • Ability to be drive structured problem solving; demonstrating persistence & resourcefulness in the face of obstacles
