This position provides the opportunity to work on multidisciplinary projects for a wide range of industries, in diverse project teams, with a great manager and smart, engaging colleagues.

Cambridge Consultants specializes in innovative technology development for clients ranging from large multinational companies to well-funded pioneering start-ups. We work in industries including Satellite, Telecoms, Cloud, Semiconductor, Consumer, Medical, and many others. We cannot tell you what exactly we will be working on in the next 6 months, but it is certain to be a range of fast-paced, challenging, and innovative projects. We can’t talk about some of our clients until you join us, but you could be developing the next breakthrough product and give mom bragging rights.

  • You will be part of a small group of like-minded embedded software engineers supported and mentored by a dedicated group leader.
  • With each project, you will also become a part of a multi-disciplinary project team supported by an experienced project manager.
  • Along with software development, you will work with colleagues to help our clients define requirements, develop project architecture, and design, and deliver solutions.
  • You will also participate in internal projects which we use to stay ahead of the latest technologies, demonstrate our skills to prospective clients, and to challenge ourselves.


You will have a thirst for solving problems, a desire to push technology to its limits, and a creative and collaborative mindset.

Musts

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related subject.
  • Some software development work experience, this could be internships, personal, or open-source projects
  • Experience with C, C++, or Rust on an embedded platform
  • Knowledge of algorithms and data structures
  • 0-4 Years of Professional Experience


Definitely apply if you have experience with some or all of

  • Common microprocessors or microcontrollers (i.e.,MSP430, STM32, PIC, AVR, EPS32)
  • Real-time operating systems
  • Wireless protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and ZigBee
  • Common communication interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, USB
  • Common test equipment such as DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers
