Full Stack Software Engineer
Job Title: Full Stack Software Engineer
Company Description:
Firefly Health is a tech-enabled primary care startup that launched in 2018 to give more people convenient access to better care. Founded by experienced physician innovators and technology entrepreneurs, Firefly reimagines the traditional care model by connecting patients with a dedicated care team they can easily access through in-app messaging, video, and in-person appointments.
Because patients work with a dedicated care team, they get to know their providers over time, creating a care journey that is continuous and highly personalized. Care teams learn what matters most to their patients, help them create health and wellness goals, and support them as they pursue them.
Our vision for how continuous care, video appointments for routine visits, and 24/7 access can lead to healthier patients and more effective providers has launched in the greater Boston area, but will be growing soon. If you’re passionate about transforming healthcare and motivated to make a difference, it’s the perfect time to join us!
What You’ll Do (and much more!)
Build mobile and web apps that make high-quality care available to patients.
Work on an automation-powered software platform used by doctors and care teams to manage and deliver care.
Architect data pipelines to measure and improve the quality of the care we deliver.
Own problems from conception to release and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues.
Work on a stack including Python, React, and React Native.
Who you’ll work with:
Martin Camacho, Director of Engineering, was the first engineer and Chief Architect at Kensho and loves jazz piano.
Franklin Yang, Product Manager, was an early engineer at Flatiron and occasionally works on his Pinata company.
What You’ll Bring Us:
Experience in mobile/web development (React Native, React), application development (Python, Django), or devops (AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Kubernetes)
Excitement to be a partner to our clinical team on a daily basis
A desire to build a collaborative engineering culture as a thoughtful code reviewer, mentor, and teammate
A love of unstructured problem-solving and taming the complexity of healthcare
