Iterate Labs is a biomechanics and IoT workplace safety company, focused on developing the first industrial wearable and software platform for preventing repetitive motion injuries. Our wearable, the Delta-1, collects 3D motion data on the hand and wrist and seamlessly integrates with the gloves workers are already wearing. Iterate Lab’s software platform tells you at scale who’s at risk and why so you can instantly correct their motions.

What you will be working on

You will be working on every aspect of our IoT Software Architecture, everything from ingesting thousands of events per second to presenting analysis to our end users. You’ll get to work with a number of AWS technologies such as Kinesis Streams, Elastic Kubernetes Service, and more. You will be key in helping us scale our architecture to handle tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, and beyond events per second. You will get the opportunity to try new technologies and improve our software architecture as we scale. You will get the opportunity to work cross functionally with different members of our team and lead the software development. Finally, you will work closely with the Data Science team, helping to integrate data processing models to run the data and display the results to the end user.

About you

You are a self starter and experienced engineer who is able to take basic requirements and run with them. You are able to easily unblock yourself and keep moving forward, driving and leading development. You enjoy using and staying up to date with the latest technologies. You have a high level of Getting Things Done - we are a startup and need to deliver. You’re a self learner and enjoy the freedom to try new techniques and technologies when given the opportunity. You enjoy writing quality code and leading the movement to always better the codebase whenever possible. You write tests religiously and try to follow a Test Driven Development (TDD) approach whenever possible. Continuous Integration and Deployment is a necessity for you. Your code isn’t QA ready until it has been unit tested and deployed using CI/CD to a test environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years professionally as a fullstack engineer
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React.js and/or Angular
• Experience with common backend web languages like Ruby and/or Python
• Experience with Python
• Experience with AWS technologies
• Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment
• Experience with Relational Databases like PostgreSQL
