We are seeking a Front End Software Engineer to join the Superpedestrian software team. The ideal candidate has strong skills in development, creating robust and maintainable front-end apps, and is excited about the company and our mission.

What you’ll do:

• Create a variety of web applications, both consumer facing and business to business
• Work with front-end technologies such as ES 6, React, and Leaflet/Mapbox
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design and ship new features.
• Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability and general reliability.
• Work on improving application performance and bug fixes.
• Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and application performance.
• Participate in cross-team peer code reviews.
• Participate in Agile Scrum sprint and release planning.

What we’re looking for:

• Experience with Javascript and client side application frameworks
• Experience with CSS / front-end UI development
• Experience with Python or other similar scripting language
• Experience with Django, Rails, Node or similar web framework
• Experience with RESTful web services, JSON
• Working knowledge of database systems
