WHOOP is seeking a dynamic, energetic and talented Firmware Engineer II to join our growing Embedded Engineering team. Our wearable product contains a bare metal style firmware base with extremely low power and high optimization constraints. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for firmware success
• Firmware development of features under guidance of Senior and Lead engineers
• Clean, quality code
• Firmware feature ownership
• Supporting manufacturing builds
• Contribute to firmware architecture design
• Contribute to electrical component selection

QUALIFICATIONS:

• BS or greater in CS, CE, EE or equivalent
• Willingness to be both a team player and a leader
• 2 - 7 years of embedded software development
• Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills
• Proficient with multiple 8-bit to 32-bit RISC processor architectures such as ARM Cortex series
• Proficient with device driver development
• Proficient in C
• Familiarity with system communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, USART etc
• Fluency in electrical engineering fundamentals and knowledge of electrical design basics
