We are seeking highly motivated individuals with backgrounds in computer science, and related fields and are enthusiastic about pursuing a career in data development.  

 

The ETL Developer will be responsible for analysis, development, testing and documentation for Salesforce based projects. This position will partner closely with senior business leaders in MassMutual's Salesforce teams to support the build out of the Salesforce technology platform. Additionally, the ETL Developer will also engage in support and enhancement requests. Primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and managing solutions for the Salesforce Platform.  

 

Objectives of this Role 

 

  • Analyze data and requirements, design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality solutions leveraging ETL (Extraction, Transformation, Load) tools and technologies, and when necessary, creating custom solutions, aligned to industry and MassMutual best practices 
  • Contribute to numerous projects / priorities leveraging agile Scrum/SAFe development and project management frameworks 
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources, business stakeholders and customers 
  • Build customer trust and respect, establish relationships, and develop rapport with clients 
  • Adhere to sound development practices and standards to ensure quality delivery of enterprise solutions 
  • Research integration issues and work closely with members of operations and development teams 
  • Stay current on ETL technologies and communicate trends and future needs  
  • Provide support and solutions for break/fix issues 
  • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting 
  • Document best practices and operational procedures 
  • Facilitate continuous improvement on the team and within the environment 
  • Some ad hoc on call rotational Prod support may be required

  

Qualifications

 

  • ​Bachelors degree
  • 4+ years of ETL/Data development and support experience 
  • Recent Informatica PowerCenter experience is required
  • Recent experience writing Unix shell scripts
  • Experience with SQL on multiple DBMS technologies, such as MS SQL Server, Teradata, Vertica
  • Knowledge/experience of Data & Data Warehousing concepts Job performance and tuning experience 
  • Knowledge of and/or experience using Agile execution frameworks and tools (Scrum, SAFe, Jira, Confluence, …) 
  • Strong written and verbal communication

 

Preferred qualifications 

 

  • Informatica Cloud experience
  • Experience working with SalesForce.Com or another comparable CRM platform
  • 8+ years of ETL/Data development and support experience 
  • Informatica Certification(s) 
  • Insurance products and/or financial services industry experience 
  • Salesforce data model experience (Sales and Service Cloud) 
  • Experience working in a DevOps delivery and support model 
  • Unix Security experience 
  • Involvement in all aspects of data integration projects - from business requirements and interface discovery and definition through design, modeling, and development, to testing and deployment 
  • Extensive experience with diverse systems integration paradigms including nightly batch, intra-day incremental data loading, and near-real-time interfaces 
  • Strong experience with production support, troubleshooting, and batch/interface optimization 
  • Experience defining and implementing data quality and reconciliation processes across complex systems
