Engineering Manager - Revenue and Growth

The team:
The Revenue and Growth Teams build and run the data pipelines, services, and systems to accurately and securely bring revenue into Datadog. We precisely measure our customers' actual usage across the entire suite of Datadog products, via big data processing pipelines, and surface it via a set of applications and APIs.
The opportunity:
As an Engineering Manager for the Revenue and Growth team, you will expand and lead the teams building the systems we use to provision and manage customers, contracts, and product offerings on our global platform. You will also be responsible for the tooling and visualizations we provide to customers to control their plans, usage, and billing.
You will:
- Manage and grow teams of talented engineers, ensuring they deliver high quality, timely work and that they are happy, motivated, and growing
- Work with engineering teams, leadership, product management, sales, and marketing to deliver cross-cutting projects
- Manage and scale existing integrations (CRM, PSPs, Billing Platform)
- Help engineering teams maintain a high velocity while upholding compliance with various frameworks including SOX
- Contribute to shaping the future of the engineering organization
Requirements:
- You have experience managing other managers and engineering teams
- You have experience organizing multiple teams to execute in collaboration against quarterly plans and long-term roadmaps, leveling up our next generation of leaders
- You have significant backend programming experience
- You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience
- You want to work in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment
Bonus points:
- You have a background in SaaS; subscriptions / payments / CRM / billing are all relevant
- You have worked on customer-facing APIs and UX related to subscriptions, usage, and billing
- You have experience working with geographically distributed engineering teams.
- You have deep experience with observability products
