We're currently a RoR / Postgres / Redis stack hosted on Docker/Heroku, looking to potentially move to AWS.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager - DevOps who is looking to build a first class Dev/Ops platform and team. This is a hands-on role managing DevOps Engineering team, working closely with our development & QA teams in operating and optimizing Swoop’s rapidly growing roadside assistance platform.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will grow and mentor a strong, high-performing engineering team.
- You will collaborate with development and QA teams regarding devops tools, scope, and schedule.
- You will help create infrastructure and process to support rapid organizational growth.
- You will foster and support a culture of innovation and excellence within the DevOps organization.
- Continually improve Devops tools, processes and procedures.
- Build, maintain, and scale infrastructure for Production and Staging environments.
- Work with third-party vendors to resolve infrastructure issues.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years experience managing and hiring engineering teams.
- Proven background leading a team of engineers, developing and growing people, and a passion for technology and leadership.
- 5+ yrs professional experience managing production environments in AWS / Heroku for high availability.
- Experience designing and maintaining reliable, high-availability production systems and services.
- Experience with package management and deployment systems.
- Experienced in different scripting and or programming languages like Bash, Ruby or Python.
- Monitoring automation; make sure that the correct monitors are deployed at the application level so that any failures can be quickly detected and repaired.
- Experience with the administration of Redis/ElasticSearch/Postgres.
- Strong understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, OpenVPN etc.).
