Position Details

We’re seeking a talented engineer with the ability to turn concepts into scalable products. This role calls for an exceptional electrical/computer engineer who thrives on architecting innovative products, can function as both key contributor and leader in a multi-disciplinary team, and has a working knowledge of taking products through manufacturing. As an electrical and embedded systems engineer, you will:

  • Work within our multi-disciplinary team to define, design, build, and test new products across the life cycle from initial conception to mass production
  • Lead all facets of our electrical design, across mobile and stationary platforms
  • Explore new sensor technologies, and inform strategic options for extending product capabilities

Minimum qualifications

  • BS/MS EE (with some computer science background) or ECE
  • 5+ years of experience in product design and development
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering fundamentals and manufacturing techniques, including DFM
  • PCB design including schematic capture and board layout
  • Firmware development (ARM Cortex-M)
  • Hands-on experience in proto bring-up and debugging, functional verification, and manufacturing support

Preferred qualifications

  • Proficient in Altium
  • Experience with:
    • Apple MFi certification process
    • Wireless charging technologies such as Qi
    • Low power design topologies for battery-powered devices o iOS development (Xcode)
    • Power supply designs (high-efficiency AC-to-DC conversion, DC-DC converters, POE, USB)
  • Enjoy being hands on in the lab and want to be in the details (soldering, oscilloscopes, data acquisition)
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements and testing procedures (CE, FCC, UL)
  • Flexible, enjoys wearing multiple hats and working in a fast-paced environment
  • Contagious enthusiasm and passion for engineering
