Director of Information Security

The role of the Director of Information Security will report directly to the Vice President of Information Technologies. The Director of Information Security will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enforcing security controls, safeguards, policies, and procedures to insure the protection of Indigo’s computers, mobile devices, networks and data against threats, such as security breaches, computer viruses and attacks by cyber-criminals.
Outcomes:
- Define and document security policies, protocols and procedures
- Identify, implement, and mange security controls
- Investigate security incidents and mitigate identified risk(s)
- Review and manage security audit logs for all Cloud and on premise systems
- Analyze security of Indigo’s information systems and propose improvements where applicable
- Develop education programs focused on user awareness and security compliance. Partner with People to deliver the education to the company.
- Ensure the security of:
- computer equipment (servers, desktops, laptops, mobile devices, BYOD)
- software systems (custom, & Saas)
- information data (Cloud and On Premise)
- Liaison to external security firm(s) performing audits and reviews. Manage the action plans resulting from the audits and review.
- Work with Indigo’s People team to create an Information Security Communication plan
- Work closely with Indigo’s Software Engineers and Architects to identify, implement and manage authentication and authorization solutions
Competencies:
- Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services & Office 365
- Strong understanding of security controls as they relate to both cloud and on premise systems
- Investigation/analytical skills with security issues and vulnerabilities
- Able to interpret technology and tools to create a secure information systems infrastructure
- Ability to translate and communicate complex technical issues into common language
- Clear communication skills

Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s required
- Experience managing security on Amazon Web Services & Office 365
- Experience implementing and managing security controls for information systems (Cloud and On premise)
- Experience implementing and managing MDM (Mobile Device Mgmt.) solutions
- Certifications (One or more)
- Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge
- Certified Information Systems Professional, CISSP
- Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
- CompTIA Security+ Certification
