We’re looking for a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Growth engineering group. Here at Wistia, we’re on a mission to help companies achieve incredible things with video and make business more human.

The engineering teams in this group work in a variety of different technical areas while focusing on driving purchases, usage, and retention for all of Wistia’s products and plans. This is a great opportunity for an engineering leader that’s excited to have a close connection to our top-level objectives for the business. You’ll play a critical role in Wistia’s product expansion goals, as we move into totally new areas.

You will be directly responsible for:

• Leading engineering teams that own onboarding, purchase flows, and systems that drive product-led growth.
• Working cross-functionally with Engineers, Designers, Product Managers, Customer Success Representatives, and Marketers to solve problems every day.
• Building a talented team through hiring and coaching.
• Guiding major technical decisions.
• Fostering an environment where people of all backgrounds and experiences can flourish.

We’re looking for a history of:

• Experience in hiring and managing teams.
• High product output relative to the size of the teams you’ve been a part of.
• Debating questions on their merits, and express opposing viewpoints in ways that their advocates agree with.
• Understanding and prioritizing the needs of the business and its customers, and helping engineers align to those needs in ways that are meaningful to them.
• Improving your team’s diversity and inclusivity, independent of whether you have formally been in a position to make hiring decisions.
