Overview

Indico is a venture-backed startup making the application of deep learning practical in the enterprise. Our focus is on helping to automate tedious back-office tasks, and improve the efficiency of labor-intensive document-based workflows. The fundamental branch of technology we use to achieve this is known as transfer learning, which allows us to train machine learning models with orders of magnitude less data than is required by traditional techniques, with a strong emphasis on NLP and text processing.

About the Position

This particular position requires someone equally comfortable with hands on keyboard work and management. You’ll be tasked with growing and managing our small DevOps team and maturing our set of tools to deploy, maintain and monitor Indico’s platform. This role reports to our EVP of Engineering.

About You

You are friendly, enthusiastic and thrive on working in a startup environment with an extremely talented crew of like-minded humans. You are detail oriented and can be counted on to deliver high quality results on time and without drama. When things break (and we all know they will at some inconvenient time) you’ll dig in with the rest of us to get a fix in place quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Evolve Indico’s DevOps team and practices
  • Operational responsibilities for Indico’s current hosted customers.
  • Continue to work with the development team to improve the Indico platform’s stability, scalability and ease of deployment.
  • Partner with People Operations team to staff and grow the DevOps team

Requirements

  • Previously managed a small DevOps team
  • Track record as a player-coach who is comfortable both managing and doing
  • Experience operating a Kubernetes-based service
  • Deep knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS or GCP
  • Experience deploying and operating containerized web applications

Bonus

  • A security background that will come in handy as Indico navigates through the process of SOC2 certification
  • AWS certification as a Solutions Architect or DevOps Professional

Indico is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to equal treatment of all employees without regard to race, national origin, religion, gender, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, physical or mental disability or other basis protected by law.

EXTERNAL RECRUITERS

Approval Requirement

The use of external recruiters/staffing agencies requires prior approval from our People Operations Team. The People Operations Team at Indico requests that external recruiters/staffing agencies not to contact Indico employees directly in an attempt to present candidates. Complying with this request will be a factor in determining future professional relationships with Indico.

Unsolicited Resumes

Indico will not accept unsolicited resumes from any source other than candidates themselves for either current or future positions. Submission of unsolicited resumes in advance of an agreement between the People Operations Team and the external recruiter/staffing agency does not create any implied obligation on the part of Indico.
