We're looking for a Digital Pathology Lab Manager to join our team and help support the execution of PathAI’s business, sponsored research and academic partnerships, including strategic projects, external collaborations and internal initiatives. The lab manager will provide digital imaging support and be responsible for managing the daily activity of the digital pathology lab, including developing and maintaining the processes and procedures of the digitization efforts. This position will work closely with data management, program management and business operations teams to ensure that digitization goals are being met and that we are maximizing our digital pathology lab’s capabilities. The lab manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the digital pathology lab. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Management of the digital pathology lab at PathAI
  • High quality scanning of pathology slides for internal and external initiatives at PathAI, including the operation of digital imaging equipment including Leica/Aperio digital slide scanners
  • Responsibility of upholding rigorous lab standards, ensuring that all process adhere to PathAI standard operating procedures 
  • Collaborate with external vendors to troubleshoot digital imaging equipment, including maintaining and service equipment
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the digital pathology lab, including inventory of supplies and part-time external contractors  
  • Collaborate across a range of groups - product, design, front-end, machine learning, business operations, and infrastructure teams.
  • Mentor, learn, and share knowledge with others along the way.

What you’ll need: 

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences or biomedical engineering-related disciplines required, experience with digital pathology imaging equipment and lab management preferred
  • Intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing project timelines
  • Familiarity with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical trial sample handling/chain of custody  is preferred.
