Why You Matter
The DevOps team plays a pivotal role in the Engineering team ensuring healthy pipelines to build, test, secure and deploy. We’re looking for a Software Engineer who will craft the right strategy and build stable and cutting-edge tooling to support these pipelines. You will be involved with design, implementation and enhancement of devOps tooling.
What You’ll Do
- Optimize tools and processes for efficiency, cost, stability and developer productivity
- Leverage programming skills to design and develop devOps tooling on various infrastructure platforms
- Research, evaluate and select the right solutions from new and existing tools
- Evangelize standardized process and framework across services where relevant
- Support the extended engineering team in troubleshooting CI/CD instrumentation failures
- Collaborate across devOps and product engineering teams to ensure a robust pipeline
- Templatize pipelines to be reused and applied across all deployed instances on AWS
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of Release or Software Engineering experience
- Strong understanding of OS fundamentals (Mac/ Linux/ Windows)
- Experience with Subversion, GitLab, GitLab CI Runners, Jenkins, Jenkins Pipelines and Artifactory
- Proven hands-on experience with AWS and services such as S3, VPC, CloudFront, CloudWatch
- Experience with tools such as Helm, Puppet, Ansible, Kafka, Terraform, Spinnaker, Elasticsearch a plus
- Strong analytical and programming skills (Python and/or Java preferred)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and great attention to detail
- Excellent Kubernetes diagnostic experience
- Good understanding of virtualization is a plus
- Security Experience a plus
- Experience with ReviewBoard, Coverity, Bullseye or Veracode is a plus
