We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to architect and build rock-solid software operations and tools to support the development and deployment of our high-performance, safety-critical software. Our stack ranges from embedded microcontrollers to hardware accelerated computer vision algorithms to web-based UI and gaming-engine-based 3D simulation.

You will:

  • Work with functional teams to identify requirements, design, implement, and update solutions, build and execute test plans, perform quality reviews, manage operations, and triage and fix operational issues
  • Ensure a high level of availability and redundancy
  • Own the continuous integration software and communication with source control
  • Develop logging and blackbox recording and playback infrastructure
  • Develop and build IT solutions to meet business, technical and security requirements
  • Assist with setup and maintenance of test environments for both manual and automated testing
  • Assist with the identification, creation, and maintenance of test data

You are:

  • A rigorous and creative DevOps engineer with 3+ years experience who has built and deployed software operations infrastructure from the ground up
  • An excellent troubleshooter and problem-solver
  • Experienced in building and maintaining a continuous integration solution
  • Comfortable with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment
  • Familiar with server system administration, both cloud and on-site
  • Proficient in at least one interpreted language
  • Experienced with distributed source control tools such as Git
  • Knowledgeable about Agile team environments and processes
  • An effective communicator and collaborator
  • Comfortable supporting a rigorous development process required for functional safety certification

Bonus points:

  • Experience with log management and visualization systems like ELK, Splunk, Datadog, Logz.io, or similar
  • Proficiency in Bash, Python3 and C++14
  • Working knowledge of TCP/IP, ICMP, SSH, LDAP, DNS, etc
  • Experience with firewall, intrusion detection prevention, and network security
  • Virtualization experience with Docker, Xen, KVM, VMware, or OpenVZ
  • Experience with Hadoop or other Big Data technologies
  • Working knowledge of storage, NAS, clustered file systems, RAID
  • Experience in regulated environments such as medical devices/ISO 13485 or functional safety/IEC 61508/ISO 13849, DO-178C/DO-254 or IEC 26262
