You're a seasoned DevOps Engineer looking to develop your career within a forward-thinking software company. As a growing startup, we are seeking an individual who displays the attitude, aptitude, and amplitude to not only get the job done but grow within the company.
Over the past several years, you’ve helped create solutions within a constantly evolving infrastructure, operations, and CI/CD landscape. With that experience, you are now ready to help architect, deploy, and operate the next generation IoT platform.

How You’ll Make an Impact:
Provide an excellent build, test and deployment platform for our developers and support them in applying best practices
Support our Data Science team in their infrastructure needs
Automate everything and treat infrastructure as code (IaC)
Ensure that our systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats across a hybrid edge/cloud environment and perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments
Increase the observability of the performance of our applications and infrastructure
Further develop and implement our incident response and disaster recovery capabilities
Work with the Executive and Product team to plan our long term infrastructure needs and control cost

What You've Got:
At least 3 years of experience in operating and automating infrastructure in a production environment on top of a BSc in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field
You know your way around in AWS on the console and the CLI
You have working experience with
Bash scripting and other languages like Python and JavaScript
data infrastructure (Kinesis, Lambda, Athena, EBS, EFS, S3, Relational Databases on RDS and K8s)
containerized applications and container orchestration systems (Docker and Kubernetes; other container runtimes are a plus)
IaC and CI/CD tools (Terraform is a must; Jenkins, ArgoCD, Tekton are a plus)
monitoring tools and platforms (Datadog, PagerDuty, Grafana)
You are genuinely curious and a quick learner always trying to find the best technical solution for the given context without falling for buzz words
Experience with hybrid edge/cloud environments is a plus
Great if you have some current AWS certifications or the CNCF CKA/CKAD certification
