Job Description
As a member of one of our Technology teams, you will contribute to building solutions that use natural language processing, cognitive computing, and artificial intelligence applications or the frameworks and infrastructure that support them.
The DevOps Engineer works side by side with engineering, platform, development and operations teams and will be primarily responsible for designing, implementing and automating build, release, deploy, monitoring and configuration activities. The DevOps Engineer is responsible for bridging the gap between development, operations, and infrastructure.
Job Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions

  • Develop tools and scripts to automate deployment tasks and improve efficiency of operational tasks, practices, and procedures.
  • Implement monitoring processes, design/build/deploy monitoring dashboards.
  • Build and support system automation, deployment, and continuous integration tools.
  • Design, implement and maintain all AWS infrastructure and operational services
  • Help to maintain and monitor production environments
  • Own AWS Infrastructure, automation and support
  • Own production deployment in multiple AWS environments
  • Other Duties and Responsibilities
  • Create and provide best practices to the organization for DevOps, builds, CI/CD, and infrastructure.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Qualifications
Required

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2-5 or more years of engineering experience.
  • 2+ years working in Linux environments (CentOS/RHEL/Ubuntu preferred)
  • 1+ years scripting languages with at least one of the following: Bash, Python, Ruby
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment.
  • Knowledge/experience with networking concepts: routing, firewalls, NAT, DNS, etc.
  • Knowledge/experience with Linux/Unix operating system: command line, shell
  • scripting, permissions, authentication, security, etc.
  • Experience with AWS environment: EC2, RDS, ALB, Route53
  • Experience / knowledge deploying enterprise-grade applications running in the Java eco-system/environment
  • Experience with Ansible, Terraform, and Docker or other containerization
  • technologies.
  • Experience supporting deployments and builds in a 24/7 SaaS environment
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or other configuration management tool.


Preferred

  • A team player, able to work in an environment of high levels of change and
  • complexity
  • Strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with PaaS technologies (EKS, Google Kubernetes Engine).
  • Experience with Kubernetes deployment technologies, such as Helm (1+ years)
  • Experience working with Container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, or AWS ECS.
