BitSight’s mission is to make the online world a safer place by helping governments, companies and NGOs understand and mitigate their cyber security risks. We spend our time helping our customers prevent malicious users from accessing their data and systems. Ours is an internet-scale challenge- we track every IP address, every piece of malware and a good portion of the world’s internet traffic.

We are looking for an experienced team player to add to our DevOps team. As a DevOps engineer, you are known for thinking on your feet, learning quickly, and owning a problem to resolution. You enjoy solving complex problems while contributing new ideas & techniques, leading to continuous improvement for the team. 

Responsibilities

As part of the team you will:

• Operate, scale, and troubleshoot BitSight’s SaaS cloud infrastructure.
• Create solutions to enable our big data analysis systems
• Add additional automation to our continuous delivery pipeline.
• Monitor system, application, and network performance/availability.
• Provide occasional off-shift availability for production issues or maintenance.
• Bring your creativity to bear by proposing innovative approaches and emerging technologies to help solve the operational and technical challenges confronted by BitSight.
• Help drive the long term vision of how we deliver value to the organization

Requirements

• Previous experience as a DevOps/Operations engineer or Software engineer.
• Experience with Linux systems (We use Ubuntu, but any modern variant is fine).
• Experience in coding and automation scripting (Python preferred).
• Experience with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with Cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and respective API’s.
• Experience with mission-critical systems.
• Experience with software development & continuous delivery in a SaaS environment.
• Responsible, team-oriented, well-organized individual with strong communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple concurrent projects while adapting quickly to rapidly changing priorities.
• Excellent communication skills in English - both written and spoken
