As a cloud reliability engineer working at DataRobot you will be responsible for reliably maintaining and scaling our cloud environment serving our customers across the world. At DataRobot we strive to automate everything we do and that includes how we run our cloud platform. You will have the opportunity to work with the teams within R&D to extend existing features and add new features to our product to support running a reliable cloud platform.

Responsibilities

• Shared responsibility for health, scalability and availability of our cloud platform.
• Maintain and add features to our monitoring and alerting system
• Work with the other engineering teams to ensure that features are delivered to our cloud platform in a scalable manner.
• Address service and infrastructure monitoring alerts during office hours, as well as, participate in an on-call rotation during the evenings and weekends.

Required Skills

• Programming experience, Python desired.
• Strong Linux knowledge (preferably RHEL/CentOS experience)
• Experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, etc.
• Experience running 24x7 production environments
• Good troubleshooting skills
• Must be willing to work in a fast-paced startup environment
• Must be a good communicator and willing to work in a collaborative environment.
• Must be self-motivated, able to manage conflicting priorities and accountable

Preferred Skills

• Experience with cloud service providers such as Amazon Web Services
• Experience with different open-source monitoring tools, such as Zabbix or Nagios
• Experience with infrastructure management tools such as Terraform
• Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent demonstrable experience
