About You:

As a growing startup, we are seeking an individual who displays the attitude, aptitude, and amplitude to not only get the job done but grow within the company.

You will have experience with cloud native applications.  Ideally you’ll have some engineering experience in networks. You love working with other developers and admins and helping them seek solutions.

How You’ll Make an Impact:

  • Develop and maintain processes around infrastructure as code (IaC) to make existing applications and data processing pipeline systems replicable for staging environments, disaster recovery, and single-tenancy use cases.
  • Support core infrastructure, including our streaming platform, RDS databases, AWS EKS and ECS clusters.
  • Integrate with development teams, providing support and expertise in building cloud native applications with an eye toward supporting seamless deployment across multiple environments.
  • Support the data science team with their varied requirements, such as deploying R, managing Spark, and scaling dynamic workloads.
  • Be a champion of data integrity, availability, and security.
  • Monitor cloud costs and find areas for efficiency improvements.
  • Use data to drive your decisions and consider other points of view when looking at a problem.

What You’ll Have:

  • 3+ years Experience in working with Amazon Web Services
  • Production experience with containerized deployments and container orchestration tools (Kubernetes preferred)
  • Operational knowledge of RDBMS (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • A naturally curious personality; flexible; ability to work in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Terraform
  • Experience with other public clouds (Azure, GCP)
  • DevOps or software engineering experience; Linux and/or Cloud or software development
  • Two plus years using programming languages including JavaScript, Bash, Python
  • AWS Certification (e.g., DevOps Engineer or Solutions Architect)
