SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking an experienced software developer interested in working across a range of technologies, including C#, Python, Javascript(s) and Ruby in a mixed shop with .NET, Ruby, and Django back ends. Develop and maintain APIs for both internal and external web systems integrated with major sales, construction management, and accounting services. Duties and responsibilities include vetting and implementing API designs; Python, C#, and Javascript coding; working with cloud-based hosting/service providers; writing and executing tests; deployment and working with customer facing support teams; collaborating with other software developers. Candidates will be given an opportunity to demonstrate development skills during interviewing. This is a position in a new and growing development team, it boasts interaction with people at all levels of software development and leadership experience.

Position is located in our Boston, MA office. Requires annual overnight travel of less than 5%.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Implement design and logic for internal- and external-facing web applications
• Develop software for exchanging and managing data from 3rd party services.
• Diagnose, debug and correct defects
• Review and refine design proposals
• Maintain coding standards across multiple projects
• Document implementations 

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, hands-on, results-oriented, and a team player.

Key qualifications are as follows:

• 4-8 years of software development experience
• Excellent written and spoken English communications skills
• 3rd party API integration experience, particularly Salesforce and NetSuite
• Software Development in Python 
• HTML/CSS/JavaScript familiarity and debugging skills 
• Git version control 
• Flow and component Diagramming 

NICE TO HAVES 

• Django, Rails or .NET backend experience 
• Experience with Azure or any other cloud hosting platform 
• Experience in other modern web technologies 
• Experience with FAAS/Serverless architectures
