Associate System Engineer
DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:
Supports the end user community of the organization by administering an evolving catalog of user service platforms. The successful candidate will be part of an IT team that is front facing in support of the organizations key initiatives. Qualified candidates will combine superior customer service with technical competencies in area's such as mailbox support, user maintenance, cloud technologies, end user device configurations. The Associate System Engineer will also monitor technology trends and makes recommendations on incorporating new technology into the company's existing platforms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supports end user community with IT related job functions.
- Manages user accounts and mailboxes.
- Administers security privileges throughout the organization.
- Supports various cloud technologies such Office 365 and Amazon Web Services
- Manages file and print services for organizational requirements, including installing and configuring printers and print queues.
- Responsible for the ongoing maintenance and future planning needs of the company's end user environment
- Evaluate applications and software patches for desktop applications
- Completes additional assignments as assigned.
Requirements
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in technical program
EXPERIENCE: 0-2 years IT support related experience
COMPLEXITY: Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work within all levels of the organization. Good understanding of networking concepts. ITIL Foundations process knowledge a plus
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS: Interfaces with other team members, including cross-functional teams, business users, and vendors.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Required to wear a pager 24 x 7. Occasionally work nights and/or weekend hours for major implementations to minimize impact on organization.
