Carbon Black is seeking smart, energetic, and technically curious engineers to join our team and help us deliver high quality, cloud based endpoint protection for macOS!

 

The ideal engineer will possess the technical flexibility and programming/debugging skills to work with both product code and test automation code effectively, as we find and resolve bugs before shipping each Cb Defense Sensor release. You will be an integral part of the identification, investigation and resolution of bugs discovered in our product source code during testing, helping to isolate and fix issues. You will have the opportunity to partner with and learn from teams of excellent, highly technical developers and automation engineers,  improving the system quality and coverage. Automation is key to our ability to develop an agile, fast paced development process, and you will play a pivotal role in Carbon Black's success in this area as well. What You’ll Do

  • Own an implement product source code, while also helping the team to triage, debug, reproduce, diagnose, and resolve issues.

  • Build tools to support team efficiency and enhance investigation of product issues

  • Design, implement, and refactor automation infrastructure and  automated test suites for improved feature coverage

 

What You'll Bring

  • Experience in software development with C++ and Python with an emphasis on sound quality processes and procedures

  • Demonstrable technical test/debugging skills with some experience adopting and effectively using new tools and technologies

  • Experience with source control management tools

  • Linux and/or macOS knowledge, and experience (including Linux and/or macOS command line)
