Our engineering team is seeking an Application Engineer to collaborate, develop, and enhance our Business Systems to support the growth of our organization. You will use customer feedback and sales needs to design, develop, test, and implement complex software programs and applications. You will also provide technical support and expertise for these systems for internal and external customers alike.  

As an Application Engineer, you will use your technical expertise to solve challenges to better the efficiency of the Business System team and sales organizations alike. This role will be very cross-functional and have the opportunity to collaborate with stakeholders across sales, marketing, finance, legal, product engineering, systems, analytics, and operations!

What you'll do

• Working as a bridge between customers and engineering teams, you will use customer input, sales, and marketing information to design, develop, test and implement complex software programs and applications 
• Technically support and provide expertise to internal and external customers
• Coordinating with internal stakeholders to design and provide new features and enhancements to achieve business goals
• Administering engineering activities of projects from conceptualization to implementation
• Monitoring existing systems and recommending improvements by integrating new technologies

What you'll bring

• 1-3 years of engineering/application development experience 
• Proven experience successfully delivering projects in Object-Oriented Languages (Java, Python, or similar)
• Experience building or maintaining applications interacting with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, Oracle, or similar)
• Demonstrated project management abilities providing estimates, delivering software, testing, and managing timelines and dependencies
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to effectively work with both technical and non-technical groups alike
• An adaptable team player who can juggle, manage and navigate multiple priorities
• Ability to be calm and deliberate under pressure
• Experience in operations and monitoring of production systems is a strong plus

Bonus points if you have

• 1-2 years supporting business-critical applications (Salesforce, Netsuite, or equivalents)
• Experience in operations and monitoring of production systems
