POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking a results-driven Director of Sales, Private Haulers to lead our efforts in expanding us within the private sector. This role requires a strategic leader with a strong background in sales, Pipeline growth and strategic relationship building. The ideal candidate will drive revenue growth by developing targeted sales strategies, optimizing prospecting efforts, and managing key accounts. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to drive new business and expand relationships. 
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, promoting pipeline growth and deal continuance. 
  • Establish and refine sales processes tailored to the Private Hauling sector, focusing on prospecting, lead qualification, and contract negotiations. 
  • Drive outbound sales efforts, leveraging phone, email, and in-person meetings to engage decision-makers. 
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders. 
  • Monitor and analyze sales metrics, optimizing strategies to improve conversion rates and revenue. 
  • Stay informed on industry trends, funding sources, and government procurement processes to enhance sales effectiveness. 
  • Collaborate with marketing and product teams to ensure alignment on messaging, lead generation, and customer needs. 
  • Own revenue targets within the Private Hauling segment, providing strategic guidance to meet and exceed goals. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Proven experience in a senior sales role focused on private sector sales. 
  • Deep understanding of municipal procurement processes, budgeting cycles, and decision-making structures. 
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and grow a sales team. 
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders. 
  • Data-driven mindset, leveraging analytics to optimize sales performance and strategy.
